Thanksgiving is over, let the Christmas celebrations commence!
We had a lovely Thanksgiving & decided to venture out on black Friday to make a Christmas tree purchase. We found THE perfect tree at this little lot. The tree we chose is actually in this photo but I can’t remember which one it was. I’m sure it will appear in at least one more photo before next month is through. My attention was more focused on this cute boy & snapping a photo before he tipped over.
Oh dear, there he goes now.
Friday was cloudy & bright which normally makes for good photo lighting, but for some reason the way the light fell on this boy’s face did not make for the cutest photo. I was able to save it with more than usual post-processing. I also probably could have fixed it up a bit better in photoshop, but Lightroom has already spoiled me and I decided not to spend additional time editing these ones. If I had spent a little more time to get the picture right in camera, I think it would have involved trying out some fill flash or a reflector, repositioning myself & baby to see whether the light would be better from a different direction, & probably putting a bit of distance between John & the trees to achieve a little more depth of field without being able to open my aperture up any more with my short kit lens.
Oh well, you live and you learn and you do what you can with less than ideal photos taken in a hurry.
